Strings Con Brio was incorporated in 2015, and received nonprofit 501(c)(3) designation in 2016. The organization began with providing collaborative performances for events in the community, and now performs as a conducted ensemble.
Founder and Executive Director Monica Sirocchi is a violinist in Strings Con Brio. She holds a Masters of Nonprofit Management, Bachelors of Science in Health Science and Administration, and a minor in music. Monica has coordinated collaborative performances with music ensembles since 2008 and has worked with nonprofit organizations in Sarasota and Manatee counties since 2010.
Conductor and Artistic Director Kenneth Bowermeister is the former Music Director and Conductor of The Venice Symphony and The Pops Orchestra. He held the position of Assistant Concertmaster of the Florida West Coast Symphony (now the Sarasota Orchestra) for 21 years and served as Orchestra Director at Pine View School for 30 years.

Strings Con Brio welcomes you to an evening in Venice. Allow music of the two most famous Venetian composers, Vivaldi and Albinoni, to carry you along the canals and over the famous Ponte dei Sospiri. Vivaldi is represented by the Cello Sonata in E Minor, featuring 17 year old Venice resident, Matrick Thorpe. Oboist, Greg Stead, will perform the Albinoni Oboe Concerto in D Minor.
